These terms govern your use of Folded. If you sign up, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, email hello@folded.app before you sign up.
Who can use Folded
Folded is a B2B service for laundromat / dry-clean shop owners. To use it you must be at least 18, run a real shop, and have legal authority to enter contracts on behalf of that shop.
What we provide
- The Folded software (web POS, owner dashboard, mobile apps for customers and drivers).
- Integrations with payment, notification, and invoicing providers you connect.
- Best-effort uptime and business-hours human support during private beta. Stronger SLAs land at general availability.
What we do NOT provide
- Payment-gateway services. You bring your own (Razorpay, Cashfree, Stripe Connect, etc.). We orchestrate; we never handle your funds.
- Legal or tax advice. We help you produce compliant invoices; we don't file your taxes.
- Hardware. We recommend printers and scanners; you buy and maintain them.
Payments to Folded
During private beta, Folded is free. After we exit beta, you pay a monthly base subscription plus a per-order fee. Pricing is published on our pricing page and locked at signup. We bill via Stripe.
If a payment fails, we'll attempt to charge again. After 7 days of unpaid status we put your account in read-only mode (in-flight orders complete; no new orders). After 30 days of unpaid we may suspend the account.
Data ownership
Your shop's operational data — customers, orders, garments, catalog — is yours. We process it on your behalf. You can export it at any time in CSV or JSON. We can't and won't sell it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Folded for illegal activity.
- Spam your customers (we throttle outgoing notifications regardless).
- Share your account credentials. Each operator gets their own login.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to bypass tenancy isolation.
Liability
Folded is provided “as is.” We do our best — see the engineering details on our marketing site for what “our best” looks like — but we can't guarantee zero downtime. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the subscription fees you paid us in that period.
Termination
You can cancel anytime from the dashboard. Your account is read-only for 30 days after cancellation so you can export everything. After 30 days, data is hard-deleted per our retention policy.
We can terminate accounts that violate these terms or that present a security or legal risk. We'll give at least 30 days' notice except in cases of clear bad-faith abuse.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Folded is incorporated. Disputes are handled in that jurisdiction's courts unless we mutually agree to arbitration.
